Formatted CF card
Our take
I recently encountered a frustrating situation with my Pro Master 128GB UDMA 7 CF card. While attempting to clear space by deleting individual photos, I accidentally reformatted the card in my 7D, resulting in the loss of around 1,000 cherished images, despite having backed up 80% of my collection. I’m hesitant to try data recovery software after my initial mistake, so I'm seeking recommendations for professional services that can recover my lost photos.
I was clearing room by deleting individual photos from my Pro Master 128gb UDMA 7 and went to my 7D to check for space and accidentally reformatted the card and tried to shut down the camera but didn't stop the formatting process, (yes I know rookie mistake). I had about 5000 photos of which 80% had been backed up. The remaining are very dear to me. I'm not comfortable downloading a program to do it myself, (I already messed up once). Any recommendations on the best service to have this done, (PM me if this is not allowed on this Sub)? I am located in Mpls if anyone knows a local company.
Thank you in advance good people of Reddit.
