Questions regarding digitals
Our take
Embarking on a modeling career begins with crafting the perfect digitals—essential portfolio images that showcase your unique look. When preparing for these shots, consider how you want to present yourself: should you style your hair or keep it natural? A fresh haircut can enhance your features, while light makeup can help conceal minor blemishes. Agencies seek authenticity, so aim for clean, well-lit images that highlight your personality and versatility. Remember, good digitals capture your true essence and leave a lasting impression.
When doing digitals, should I do my hair, leave as is? Get a haircut, use any makeup to cover little blemishes? What are some good things modeling agencies look for? What do "good" digitals always have?
Super interested in getting into modeling, wanna shoot some digitals. Literally all I know is shoot some digitals and send them into an agency. If there's anything else I should be doing to start a modeling career please advise me because as far as I'm aware that's all I have to do for now.

- seeking advice on new digitals!Hello everyone! I’m looking to get some advice on my digitals. These are the first real ones I’ve taken with an industry professional photographer. So far I haven’t had many responses from the agencies I’ve applied to. I have received advice that it may be due to my age, 25. Being very pale, I also worry that I appear flat and washed out in images like these. I welcome any advice on how I can improve. I am interested in both editorial and commercial fashion modelling. Also wondering how I can appear more editorial. I am 5’9 with measurements: Bust: 33 inch Waist: 26 inch Hips: 34 inch Based in Brisbane, Australia. - New to modeling! Honest advice appreciatedHello all! Im brand new to the industry. I recently submitted my digitals to a few agencies and heard back from 3 so far. Currently in the process of meeting with them for representation. Ideally, I would like to make a career out of this. I’m not just pursuing it as a hobby. But I also want to be realistic. If anyone has any insight in this industry, would you see my “look” as more commercial or high fashion? Height: 6’3 Chest: 37 Inseam: 33 Waist: 29 Shoe size: 10 1/2 Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/AdFantastic3376 [link] [comments]
- Preparing for an In-person Meeting with an AgencyHi everyone! 27M and just decided to try out modeling with close to no experience. I recently took digitals and sent them off to agencies. I received a couple of good responses and one rejection. I will be having my first in-person meeting with an agency soon. The agency states that they want to introduce themselves properly, give guidance on modeling career path, and finalize my profile. They also mentioned that they are open to signing models, with contract options, benefits, and support (this is a bit confusing to me because I thought that is what agencies do?). It is a reputable agency with a large following on social media. I have a few questions for those who have experience: What to wear to an agency meeting? -The internet says dress similarly as you would for digitals, but I think it would be awkward if I showed up in a tank considering this isn’t a casting call and they did not mention anything about taking photos. What to expect from the meeting? Is there anything I should be prepared for? How should I prepare? What questions should I ask the agency? The agency regularly posts modeling gig opportunities publicly on their social media. But they also are a large agency with many models signed directly to them. I’m confused by this dynamic - if anyone with more experience understands please let me know! Any generic advice would be greatly appreciated. - Any Thoughts on my Digitals?I was wondering if these digitals are good and if I look too old for modeling? I am 6'2.5 (189cm) tall with relatively wide shoulders. Thank you! submitted by /u/alabamabeach [link] [comments]
