Our take
Terry Richardson’s signature style in portrait photography, characterized by its direct flash look, presents an exciting challenge that many photographers admire. In pursuit of this aesthetic, I plan to mount my battery-powered Elinchrom One as close to my Nikon Z8 lens as possible, utilizing a Small Rig Magic arm for stability. Weighing 1.5kg, this setup necessitates an ergonomic approach. I welcome insights from anyone experienced with similar configurations or alternative mounting ideas, such as using a bracket like the Nisi Wizard.
Customer is asking me for direct flash look in Portraits. I absolutely love the challenge. For enough Power, my goal is to mount my battery powered Elinchrom One to my Camera, as close to the lens as possible. Current plan is a Small Rig Magic arm. The light itself is 1.5kg, mounted to a Nikon Z8. Shooting in Portrait mode.
Does anybody have experience with my situation, or have more stable/ ergonomic mounting ideas? Any opinions on building it on a bracket like Nisi Wizard?
