Excel Pivot Table Connections - Can't Connect, get an OLE Login, affecting all all files with pivot tables that aim at other files for the database. Only affecting me, at work, using sharepoint.

Error pop ups

Had to censor the work related URLs.

This just started this morning.

  1. Files are almost exclusively .xslb (but ive confirmed that it is still doing it with a xlsm file as well) files that host a table of data.
  2. They are pivot tables/charts linked to the xslb files and created from those tables.
  3. We have been using them for years now.
  4. It is only affecting me (currently). I am the team lead, and i created all the files. The team is the ones that does pretty much all of the editing day in and day out. I just look at them now. I used to be the one editing them daily.
  5. It is affecting files only I have access to as well (so its not just a team members computer messing something up) , including ones i haven't edited in weeks.
  6. I have tried reverting versions to old copies, more than 2 weeks old and still does the same thing.
  7. Corporate laptops, that we cannot update/install/uninstall things.
  8. I have restarted / shut down multiple times today.

Main issue

When i load up one of the files, and click refresh (i have done by right clicking on the table and clicking refresh, by going to data, and clicking refresh all, and by the VB refresh script i have been using) and the linked pop ups are the errors im getting.

The files are confirmed to be accessible, and not open in the background. I can open each database file and save updates to them. I cannot however, pull data from them.

In the last popup, the file that it references for "Data Source" is always unique to whomever the last person to save the file was. Looks like a temp file.

If i create a brand new file, recreate the same pivot table by doing the Data --> Get Data From File ---> browse to the sharepoint location, select the file. Import it and close and load to pivot table, it grabs the table successfully. If i then do a refresh on the new table, it works and refreshes just fine. However, its a querie and not a connection.

If i try to instead go to Insert ---> Pivot table from external data source ---> and select the file on sharepoint. It will not load the file at all. If i instead download the file locally, and load it from the downloads folder, it will load the file and let me pick a table.

So im leaning towards a connection to the sharepoint between excel and sharepoint.

Thank you for any help solving this.
