Where are the flickr bros?

Our take

In the vibrant era of 2008-2010, photography thrived on platforms like Flickr, capturing the imagination of enthusiasts. Fast forward to today, and the landscape has shifted dramatically. With the acquisition of a well-condition Nikon D700 and a Tamron 35mm 1.4 prime lens, a sense of nostalgia arises amidst a seemingly fading community. The absence of familiar voices on Flickr raises questions about the state of photography today. Have people turned away from this art form, or has social media overshadowed the once-vibrant photography community?

Back in 2008-2010 I was big into photography, not very good at it and rather poor. Everyone was raving over the d700, flickr was a great place, blah blah

Now I have money so I bought a d700 in great condition and a tamron 35mm 1.4 prime (the big heavy one)... it seems flickr is dead?

I don't use FB/instagram etc because it's just full of onlyfan bots, especially instagram.

Where is everyone? Have people given up on photography or something?

Thanks
